Rise Calendar is an interesting alternative to Mayday as the designs are very similar. There is a bit of focus that Mayday and Rise both had when it came to coordinating focus guards on your time, and both of these applications wanted to help me do that in a more effective way.
There are a bunch of settings in Rise Calendar that you can use to make sure that your time is protected, and the application has an underlying element of artificial intelligence that feeds into the system to protect that time for you.
Rise Calendar is currently available on Mac and was recently launched on iOS. The application itself is really easy to use and provides you with a good overall experience in terms of its design, which might tempt a lot of users to switch over to it.
2. Morgen Calendar
What makes Morgen a good Mayday alternative?
Morgen is one of these applications that combines the likes of tasks and calendar in one location. Now Morgen has a sense of task management by allowing you to drag tasks into the system and coordinate them in a time-blocking fashion.
A lot of people like this, and there's also Morgen Pro available, which allows you to bring in other task integrations like Todoist, ClickUp, and Notion as a better way to consolidate everything in one location. Morgen also has something called Morgen Assist, which is constantly adding new artificial intelligence features for your team to help coordinate activities and not overload meetings for many people. This is more of an all-round alternative to Mayday.

Amie Calendar is new to the market and combines tasks, calendar, and email in a very strange turn of events. It makes for a good Mayday alternative, although it doesn't have too many artificial intelligence features.
It does allow you to consolidate your tasks inside the application and has some really nice views to allow you to manage your tasks as well as email items that come into the system. Some of the amount of access you get is locked under Amie Pro, but again if you're looking to consolidate everything inside of one application, this could be an interesting alternative, and I can imagine that Amie will invest in pulling together some artificial intelligence features in the near future.

4. Reclaim AI
What makes Reclaim a good Mayday alternative?
If you're looking at something that is more team-oriented, then it's well worth looking at Reclaim. In a similar way to Mayday, it allows you to add tasks and re-organize them into your system. This is an interesting way to combine tasks, AI & calendar.
A lot of people like it because it works with Google Calendar and allows you to coordinate priorities that then weave into your task system, and the AI learns about you over time which helps you better coordinate your activities in managing tasks.
If you're looking for a change of pace, then both of these applications don't have as much artificial intelligence and task management abilities, but they do have some solid calendar management and come at a slightly more approachable price than some of the systems recommended above.
5. Fantastical Calendar
What makes Fantastical a good Mayday alternative?
Fantastical Calendar is one of the best on Mac and iOS and it comes with a solid calendar experience that people know as a reliable option on the calendar market.
It does come with a generous plan of pricing which isn't overly expensive but doesn't come with any artificial intelligence features. It does, however, have some task management abilities that allow you to add tasks into your system and time block them as well, but it isn't as complex as Amie and Morgen.

6. Calendars by Readdle
What makes Calendars a good Mayday alternative?
Calendars by Readdle is a really nice all-round calendar application and it comes with a really solid iOS and Mac application. A lot of people really like the ability to add tasks into the system and there's even a feature called shortcuts and routines that allow you to add routine systems into your task list to help you to create helpful habits.
For example, you can just drag and add running if that is a routine activity that you do.
